OUR IDEAS. OUR ENTERPRISE. OUR FUTURE.
The Blak Exchange connects Indigenous businesses, professionals, producers and communities with markets, capability and commercial opportunity.
THE BLAK EXCHANGE
The Blak Exchange is an Indigenous enterprise platform built around a simple idea: our communities should not only participate in economic opportunities — we should build, grow and own them.
The Blak Exchange connects Indigenous businesses, communities, professionals and producers — creating new pathways for collaboration, commerce and Indigenous ownership.
WHAT WE DO
The Blak Exchange creates connections between Indigenous businesses, professionals, producers, communities and markets.
We are building a platform where Indigenous capability, products and opportunities can be found, connected and grown.
Products & Markets
Connecting Indigenous makers, producers and businesses with new customers, markets and opportunities.
Professional Services Exchange
Connecting businesses, communities and organisations with Indigenous professionals, businesses and specialist capability.
The aim is to strengthen commercial connections and create more opportunities for the value generated through Indigenous enterprise to circulate within the Indigenous economy.
Culture & Enterprise
Creating pathways for Indigenous products, enterprise and cultural capability to reach new markets while recognising the people, communities and Country behind them.
Experiences & Activation
Creating opportunities through markets, events, food, pop-ups and cultural experiences for people to discover, experience and support Indigenous enterprise.
OUR VISION
The Blak Exchange is building a new platform for Indigenous enterprise — connecting community, capability, opportunity and ownership.
Our vision is to create stronger connections between Indigenous businesses, professionals, producers and communities, opening new opportunities for collaboration, commerce and growth.
Indigenous economic development should be about more than participation. It should create opportunities for Indigenous people and communities to build, grow and own.
FOUNDER
Tiffany Schuback (Hooker)
Founder, The Blak Exchange | Indigenous Leader | Global Leadership Alumni
Tiffany Schuback (Hooker) is an accomplished Indigenous leader with more than two decades of experience spanning Indigenous affairs, economic development, business, governance, community development and the public sector.
Her career has been defined by an ability to work across complex environments, bringing together strategic thinking, strong operational capability and a deep understanding of community to translate ideas into practical outcomes.
Tiffany's leadership reaches from community and regional Australia to national decision-making environments and the global stage.
In 2023, Tiffany was selected as one of just 300 leaders from across the Commonwealth to participate in the Commonwealth Study Conference in Canada, joining a distinguished international cohort drawn from business, government, industry and civil society.
Established by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, the Commonwealth Study Conference has a more than 65-year legacy of identifying, challenging and connecting leaders across Commonwealth nations. Tiffany remains actively engaged in this international network and is now contributing to CSCA 2027 in Australia.
Across her career, Tiffany has developed a distinctive breadth of leadership capability encompassing Indigenous economic development, enterprise, governance, financial management, land and property, housing, organisational operations and major project development.
This breadth enables her to operate across both strategy and implementation — understanding how strategic decisions are made and, equally importantly, what those decisions look like when they reach communities.
Her leadership is informed by professional expertise, lived knowledge and more than two decades of practical experience.
Tiffany is a strong advocate for recognising Indigenous knowledge as expertise and for ensuring Indigenous people are positioned not simply as contributors to decisions, but with the authority and economic power to make them.
She believes the next evolution of Indigenous economic development must extend beyond participation and create stronger pathways for Indigenous people and communities to become enterprise builders, producers, decision-makers and owners.
That belief led to the establishment of The Blak Exchange.
The Blak Exchange brings together Tiffany's leadership, experience and networks around a clear ambition: to create stronger pathways for Indigenous people and communities to create, build, control and own more of the economic opportunities around them.
